IndicationDuodenal and peptic ulcer, moderate to severe reflux esophagitis, management of Zollinger-Ellison
Contra IndicationHypersensitivity to pantoprazole.
DosageDuodenal, peptic ulcer, moderate to severe reflux esophagitis 40 mg daily. Management of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory condition 80 mg daily. Administration with dosage more than 80 mg daily should be done in 2 divided doses. Elderly, renal dysfunction : Max 40 mg daily. Severe liver dysfunction 20 mg daily.
Special PrecautionNot for mild gastrointestinal complaints, exclude severe gastric ulcer or esophageal disease prior to treatment, renal and liver dysfunction. Pregnancy and lactation. Elderly and children.
Adverse ReactionLeucopenia, thrombocytopenia, GI disorders, allergic reaction, hepatobilliary disorders, injection site disorders i.e thrombophlebitis, peripheral edema, arthralgia, myalgia, headache, visual disturbance, mental depression, interstitial nephritis, skin and subcutaneous disorders.
