Contra IndicationHipersensitivity, severe respiratory, hepatic or renal impairment (CrCl <10ml/min), uncontrolled epilepsy, acute alcohol or drug intoxication. pregnancy and lactation.
Dosage2 tablet initially then 1 or 2 tablets every 6 hrs; max 8 daily.
Under 12 years, not recommended.

- In severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 ml/min)
- In patients with severe hepatic impairment Tramadol HCl/Paracetamol should not be used
- In severe respiratory impairment
- Tramadol is not suitable as a substitute in opioid-dependent patients.
Adverse ReactionGastrointestinal upset, dizziness, somnolence, headache, trembling, confusion, mood changes, anxiety, nervousness, euphoria, sleep disorders, sweating, pruritus.
Drug InteractionMAOIs, ondansetron, buprenorphine, pentazocine, SSRIs, SNRIs, TCADs, mirtazapine, alcohol, CNS depressants, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, baclofen, warfarin, antipsychotics, triptans, bupropion, carbamazepine, ketoconazole, erythromycin and other CYP3A4 inhibitors and inducers.
