SIMLEV^® 500 mg

INGREDIENT :
Each film-coated caplet contains: Levofloxacin Hemihydrate 512.45mg equivalent to Levofloxacin 500 mg.

INDICATION :

For the treatment of serious infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to levofloxacin such as:

» Acute maxillary sinusitis.

» Acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.

» Community acquired pneumoniae.

» Complicated urinary tract infection.

» Acute pyelonephritis.

DOSAGE AND USAGE :

» Adults :

The usual dose is 250-500 mg (oral), once a day for patients with normal renal function (creatinine clearance > 80 mL/min) with a time of administration of 7-14 days depending on the severity of the disease.

» Patients with impaired renal function:

Creatinine clearance > 50 mL/min, no dose adjustment, creatinine clearance 20-50 mL/min, initial dose 250mg, then 125mg every 24 hours, or initial dose 500mg, then 250 mg every 24 hours, creatinine clearance 10-19mL/ min or <10 mL/min (including haemodialysis and CAPD), initial dose 250 mg, then 125 mg every 24 hours, or initial dose of 500 mg then 125 mg every 24 hours.
